A post from a Twitter user whom is a nurse has gone viral after she posted her fortnights work salary. Joanna Hickey, from Ireland shared a pay slip of the amount €1,120.80 (£1000.24). And most people are saying they are shocked because she earns so little.
What motivate her to share the photo was due to an ongoing disagreement over under payment of salaries between the government and the Irish nurse and midwife’s organisation. (INMO) rumbles on, RSVP reports. She also reviews that she supports a strike planned for the end of January 2019.
Someone replied her post by saying: “You’re very brave to post your wage slip, Shame on our society that our medical experts at the top echelon of their professions is marginally above the basic wage after tax!”
